Resources
Here are a few links to resources that may help you with your projects, or even inspire you to explore a new hobby. We will update these resources as we create partnerships with additional shops and organizations.
DMC
DMC is the premium thread company globally (based in France). This is a great place to go if you are looking for thread, needles, and Aida fabric.
Amazon
Amazon offers thread (including DMC), Aida, hoops, needles, and other tools you may need for your work. We include much of this in our kits, but if you need more, Amazon is always easy and quick.
Stitchmate Fabric Calculator
Stitchmate is a free online tool used to calculate the amount of thread you need for a project based on the size of your Aida fabric. The Needful Needle offers kits in three count options: 14, 18, and 28. If you want to use a different count fabric, this is the place to figure out how much thread you'll need.
Craft Club SLC
A growing club that offers opportunities and classes on many crafts. Creating art and crafts is a great option for building some "me time" into our hectic lives.
Hand Craft Revival
Much like Craft Club SLC, Hand Craft Revival also offers wonderful opportunities to learn a new hobby.
University of Utah Lifelong Learning — Crafts
The Lifelong Learning program at the U of U offers extended multi-week classes to learn a craft. New classes are offered each quarter.
